Ride out to Mele for a photo shoot for Outer Edge with Beau the journo, Steve and Kylie.

Started well when Kylie went arse over tit in the first photo and Beau captured it all on camera, hopefully it gets into the mag!

Long trek across the island after finding the 'marked' track after an hour of looking. Prong and ben took 3hrs to find it.

Spent the day with Fel, Kye and a journo from Outer Edge, Beau. Had a great walk not taking it too hard and getting to the finish.

Ended up 6th, ben and prong 9th and the girls were 11th, tom and al won.

long ride with some big hills that everyone pushed their bikes up and lost time at the start looking for bonus cps. Cross the island on the road then down some rough single track to a village and across to survivor beach. Back up a huge hill to then drop back down to a bike drop while dropping some compulsory cps on the way as we were going to be late. Diabolical out rigging (wading while pushing the canoe as we couldnt work out how to do it properly)

ride to the start where we left our bikes for the next day. All the ni-vanuatu were coming out onto the road waving and stuff (which they did all weekend) and it had a really cool feel about it all.

Cool prologue around the village of Mele and the upper cascades. All teams lost time with the maps and there was a cool section where some local kids lead us around to help find the controls. Finished with prong and ben at the end.

Lunchtime run over Hackett HIll back via the watson shops. Felt good after 20min but then slowed after the shops we i couldnt get into a rhythm carrying the kg of nuts i decided to buy

Wednesday lunch time orienteering at Majura West. Always like the area and they had it set up so it was full map memory which was great. Just had each leg at the preceding control.
Only one full error on the 3rd where i drifted to the right and hit the wrong power pole which was my attackpoint. Lost a couple of minutes here and Tom caught me and we sort of went leg for leg for the rest of course with some differing route choices.
It was a great little race and made me look at how i was attacking each leg - i was focusing on simplifying the leg but getting to the circle and not knowing enough detail to find the flag!

Ride home from meeting in Lyneham on Tom's trek with no light, no helmet, no bike shoes, in work clothes, in the dark but pushed in quite hard which upset some commuters who tried to start wars but i smashed them
