Orienteering 1:30:30 [3] 6.9 km (13:07 / km) +135m 11:57 / km

This was a really fun course! There was a lot of actually white forest which meant I was able to do a lot of off-trail running, which is somewhat unusual. The course went fairly smoothly, with a couple of small mistakes until control 13. I completely blew this control, I think I was low and then overcompensated and missed it high. Either way, I completely overshot it, ended up on the trail, tried to go back to it from the trail, still messed it up, and then finally found it. Lost probably more than 10 minutes here...not my finest orienteering moment. Other than that one control I felt pretty good about how this course went though, considering that I haven't been doing a lot of orienteering lately. Can't wait for the next meet!

Soccer 40:00 [3]

Soccer game again. There was this really pushy girl on the other team and I half rolled my ankle but I think it's fine. I was kinda tired from orienteering earlier, but it was still a good time. The game was really close but I think we won :)

This was a pseudo-long run, because I didn't want to go too far since I have orienteering tomorrow (which I am very excited for, by the way). While I like the nice, warm weather we've been having, the mild 55 degrees today was actually amazing for running in. It was a bit windy but that really didn't bother me too much. I felt good today, and got a good portion of my run in the park, which is always nice, especially since spring is in full swing right now. I kind of wanted to go farther as I was still feeling good at the end, but I will probably be thankful for my decision not to tomorrow when I'm orienteering. Plus, I should have lots of time to run next week, since it's finals week which means lots of down time!

Nice, flat, easy loop today. I got out of class really early (ie like 7:30) but I still didn't end up running til late. I usually don't have time to run on thursdays though, so it was good that I was able to get out there today. Only one more day of classes and then finals week, and I'm so excited!

Well it was incredibly humid and pretty warm today so it felt kind of like I was running through pea soup. So not the best run, but I made it a decent distance. I actually ran in the afternoon today which, since it's been getting warmer, maybe isn't the best time to run.

I wasn't going to go running today, but then I decided I wanted to at about 8:30 after looking up the Boston Marathon results and feeling somewhat inspired to run a race sometime soon, if not a marathon quite yet. It was prefect running weather and I felt pretty good. The first half was mostly uphill and then I let myself stretch it out for the second half, averaging around 7:35 pace for the last 3 miles or so. I felt pretty good for this part, although it was mostly downhill. It was a little dark running down Linden and I was a bit worried I was going to trip or something, but thankfully I made it without incident.
