Bicycle 2:19:38 [1] 37.88 mi (3:41 / mi) +409m 3:34 / mi

After work ride, which was mostly nice. Great weather for it, and the traffic to the bike path was only somewhat frustrating (trying to stay off roads going outbound at rush hour where possible). Then out the bike path, down through Lincoln and Weston (nice, but should have more housing) and then back on Beacon.

Three observations:

1. In Cambridge, I almost got right-hooked. But the woman riding in front of me really almost got right-hooked. I read the livery driver (of course) the riot act about using his goddamn turn signal.

2. I counted people biking and their gender expression. There were an even number of men and women (35/35) between JP and Arlington Center. But then on the bike path there were way more men than women (16/56).

3. I headed across Park Road in Weston behind a larger rider. His watt/kg ratio was not so great. But then we crested over the Turnpike and he came flying by. Holy moly potential energy. Once it flattened out past Ski Track, watt/kg again owned the day.
