...kidding.

Round with boys at Glencairn...(and evening afterwards). Beer and silliness.

Shot a 94. Won the poles. Won the skins with Chizzy. First round of the year. Launched a few darts out there. Happy with the round...unhappy with the hangover.

Had some time to do part of Old Reliable before shimmying north out of High Park up to Annette/Runnymede to pick up Annie at the nanny.

Running (Chariot with Anabel) 17:28 [3] 3.75 km (4:39 / km) +32m 4:28 / km

Pulled the plug at Parkside and Howard Park trying to finish off Old Reliable as Annie had a mega-tummy ache. Carried her/walked the chariot home...

Her playlist:

Sandro Perri - Love And Light
Neil Young - Love Is A Rose
Beirut - Payne's Bay
The War On Drugs - In Reverse

Old Reliable, but finishing up at Perth Park to turn the splash pad on and off and play in the sand...

Since my surgery, anything after the 30 minute mark of a run has been a real grind. In the past, my legs felt fresher as I warmed into a run. These days, they slowly get weaker as I go on. Trying to turn it up a notch, (lengthen my stride), is a real slog...sometimes not even possible.

Today, (even though it hurt), I found another half a gear towards the end of my run...so that was motivating.

I have a feeling running is not going to be so effortless for me anymore...

Annie's playlist:

Since her/I missed The National at Field Trip recently, it was a treat to listen to 'Boxer' front to back. Really a killer full album.

The National - Boxer (2007)

Fake Empire
Mistaken For Strangers
