Feeling much better, but still sneezing and coughing from hay fever. Bob was busy, so I took Elray to Mack Porter park. It was 67 degrees with lots of fog at the start, and the spider webs were really beautiful with the droplets clinging to them. Beautiful to look at, but not much fun to run into.

We did the Mack Porter circuit, went over the bridge and walked to the Jesse James main trail junction, then returned. After a bit of sniffing at the start, Elray kept a good pace to the turn around. Then she got snarky because she wanted to keep going, but I have grocery pickup today, and I had to haul her by her harness about halfway back to the bridge.

We saw no people, and no cars. What we did see was a bald eagle in a tree about 15 feet west of the bridge, and about 15 feet above us. The closest I have been to an eagle since we went to Alaska. It had its left wing spread out, kind of like an anhinga does to dry off. Coming back over the bridge, it was still there. Pretty exciting. I've seen them at Smithville Lake and Watkins Mill, but never right in Kearney.
