orienteering 26:45 [4] 6.0 km (4:28 / km) +50m 4:17 / km

Started with a 1.5 minute lead after having lost the big advantage yesterday. Knew i was being chased by a very strong runner so set off hard. Bad route to two lost me some time but pushed on. V easy navigation and leg 3 was a totally open 3 minute leg towards a very visible hill into a huge headwind. About half way on the leg he could see me and i didn't really have a chance. Dead legs, easy course and visibility meant it was just a matter of time before he caught me. When caught i slowed down considerably. Hoping to save something for the finish. He sat behind me until the second to last control then breezed past:L sounds like i am going to have to try make up for it racing him at eyoc!

orienteering 37:45 [5] 7.0 km (5:24 / km) +60m 5:10 / km

Messed around for three minutes in the first half. Caught a small pack and started planning ahead to get away, hoping they would lead me in. Stupid from me. Then straight into the open for the second half of the course. I couldn't deal with the heat and pace, stumbled down the run in!
