Orienteering 1:40:00 [1] 5.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
shoes: New Balance MT 101 sz 9

Hanging controls for CW event. Took about 2hr 40 min. About 100 minutes of walking / light jogging. Pushed on the uphills just for a bit of training. Warm out, ended up being 80 F; but I was quite comfortable and did not feel dehydrated. Woods are drying up nicely. No leaf cover to speak of yet, so visibility is great. Had to hang a few controls low on the advanced courses.

Trail running 40:00 [2] 2.5 mi (16:00 / mi) +60m 14:53 / mi

Evening jog; first with Jena 15 min, mostly walking or jogging in place. She is mighty slow these days and not feeling well. Then off to Spruce Hole by myself for a few loops with a couple of hill sprints thrown in to get my heart beat up a bit. Needed it!

Trail running 1:05:30 [2] 6.02 mi (10:53 / mi) +250m 9:38 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 101

Another 6 miler. Was working at home so a morning run was in order - more rain forecast for evening! Parked at Wiswall, and looped around the "Farrell" forest. Mostly a clockwise route, and I tried to get all the trails GPS'ed. I felt a bit sluggish not having had a solid breakfast before, and only hours after yesterday's run. Also got caught in an indistinct trail which went through marshy areas; so, several slow-downs that explain the slower pace. Good hills for training though. Saw a few turkeys. I see them almost daily now.

Trail running 59:45 [3] 6.5 mi (9:12 / mi) +100m 8:46 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 101 sz 9

Run to the MT bike trails between Surrey L and the Shelter. I ran an extended loop and then back via Troy's field, back to Griffiths drive and finally home vie the SE causeway trail. About 60% single track, the rest wider trails and 1/4 mile on road.
Note: Deer ticks are out!

Orienteering 1:20:00 [1] 7.0 mi (11:26 / mi) +100m 10:57 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 101 sz 9

Course Setting for CW event. Visited all 42 control locations. Changed several and took map correction notes. That took me longer (4 hours) than planned. A nice sunny day, so I was not rushed but rather enjoyed being outside and doing what needed to be done. First shoots of mayflowers poking through. Trees are budding, but no major foliage yet. Visibility is great. Probably wont change much until Sunday. I figured that in all there was about 80 minutes of light jogging involved.
