Travelling home.
Paying a bit for running so hard yesterday. Also my foot started hurting again this morning, had it taped all week until last night, looks like I need to keep taping it. Not planning on doing much over the next 2 weeks, need to rest and recover properly.

Orienteering 37:00 [2] 3.0 km (12:20 / km)

Trains at Inshriach. Just did the 1st,4th and 5th ones. Feeling a bit better but didn't want to push it too soon with running.

Relay in Moor of Alvie. Got waay too competitive in this! Started not too far back on the leader and then was leading for a bit with Kirstin. No 7 was hidden in the grass and we thought it wasn't there, got caught up by the others, then both got ahead again and going into the final loop was just behind Kirstin. On no 17 we both missed it but if had gone along the path (no paths on the map) would've got it easily, so then ended up coming in in 4th but still was orienteering and running well considering how i felt earlier in the week.

Physical conditioning session.
Various exercises. Everyone had prepared a different one and demoed it before the rest of us had a go too. Mostly exercises I'd done before in the gym but there was a couple of new ones, it was nice to be good at something!

Running 45:00 [2]

Quick WU then a run through of drills to do to improve running style and technique. Also a bit of agility too.

Findhorn and Roseisle.
Head was still not right. Feeling very fuzzy as soon as I started trying to concentrate especially at Roseisle, just walked round everything (don't think I could've managed running) which was a bit boring!
3 courses. 1 at Findhorn, focused on looking up. 1st at Roseisle was attackpoints, focused on visualising the circle and from that working out where the best attackpoint was. 2nd at Roseisle was another control pick, focused on map orientation from the ground (again had no compass).

Felt better after I'd sat down afterwards, missed out the running session on the beach.

3 courses on Balavil. First one a control pick which we did with no compass. Really forced you to read the map properly and look up. Second one was simplification, realised I take too many bearings and it slows me down. Head also starting to feel a bit funny. Third exercise long and short legs - putting it together and practicing switching techniques. Ended up walking round because my head was feeling really wobbly and I also walked into a tree branch and got a lovely scratch on my head which didn't help much either.

Running warm up/down 50:00 [1]

Quick session with Paul on how to warm up well. Then planned the intervals. Then warmed up for intervals and warm down after, stretching too.

Running 10:00 [4] 2.4 km (4:10 / km)
shoes: Nike LunarEclipse

10 mins at threshold pace. Managed to keep HR between 169-183 (80-90%). Started a little bit slow but settled into it, feeling alright, though on the verge of a cold.

Running 9:00 [5] 2.4 km (3:45 / km)
shoes: Nike LunarEclipse

4x2mins. HR a bit low on the first one got 485m, got it right after that and got ~530m each time. Feeling good and really enjoyed it!
4x80m. 13-14s each time.
