It was but, frankly, that's why I make the big bucks. Financial programming is no harder than any other programming but the due dates absolutely cannot move. If you're not willing to do stuff like this to meet them, just write some other kind of program. I actually like the big pushes at the end; it's similar to ultras. You just get in a mindset where you refuse to stop, refuse to fail. Do it all the time and it will kill you (literally) but several times a year it can be quite rewarding.
