So is THIS the biggest thing you heard today?

How are planning on doing your hair for the concert?

Not even the usually gullible mainstream media fell for that one. If they do ever reform I promise to do my hair "Suedehead"-style.

Awesome band! (Speaking of hair, doesn't John Fredrickson look like Morrisey these days? He has the right hair look)

One of the better quotes from the Madchester movie 24 hour party people:
God: It's a pity you didn't sign the Smiths, but you were right about Mick Hucknall. His music's rubbish, and he's a ginger.

Very poor business decision, regardless of his hair. Simple Red was awful, but sold a lot of records. If Factory had signed them it would have paid for a bunch of better bands to get off the ground. Or paid for for a babysitter for Shaun Ryder (aka England's greatest poet since Yeats).

Of course, we're talking about Factory Records, the only record label in the world to lose money on a number one single (Blue Monday).

Or it could have allowed the Hacienda to break even. Blue Monday though was one awesome 12" sleeve design.

Another great 24HPP quote:

"I'm being postmodern, before it's fashionable"

I had visions of the Hacienda when my friends were discussing a micro-brew bar.

Two questions:

Band that combined The Smiths and New Order?

Connection between Smiths and beer?

I should say: Smiths, beer and Die Hard.
