of the month is Monthly Medal at most clubs it seems. As you know, Josh got me a tee time. 67 nett with a triple bogey 7 on our final hole. Well and truly enough to get me back next week. I promise I will mention my crap poor rounds as well - playing history suggests that will be for the rest of the month.

67 is a good result, well done indeed! Good enough to win? Pity abt that last hole:(

I probably prefer stableford - at least you can pick up...I had an 8 today, followed by birdie 2, so wasn't real consistent. Probably won't play again until March as Briohny's wedding is only 3 weeks away and there is lots to do.

You'll have plenty of time to play golf over the next two weekends....

Lovely gesture Briohny - can't have the little matter of a wedding compromising golf opportunities!!

I like s'ford, but it is very rewarding to manage yourself pretty well for a full round when playing stroke.

Do you or your golfing group, or Mouse if he is reading, know much about the subscription offer from 'Golflink' which Brett Ogle is promoting - think it is called 'Mates'? From a value for money point of view?

My dad subscribed last year to mates and said it wasnt that great as it only allowed him to check on the comp results for his club. Funnily enough our club has started putting the comp results onto the members section of our clubs homepage which also has our prize account, timesheets we can use online (saving Josh a ride to the club). But if your club doesnt offer this service on their homepage and you want to check how you went in that comp compared to the rest of the club then the fee is probably a little high but gives ok info.

Must admit I haven't even looked at that option. My club posts comp results (fairly) regularly but usually only winner and R/U in each grade plus NTPs and ball comp cutoff.

How is your dad going after the knee replacement Mikey? Hopefully back to full swing, so to speak!

Dads knee replacement went really well and he has been back playing since early January. he took a little time getting back to his best but has played to his handicap of 9 the ast 2 weeks so he is happy. The knee still causes the odd day of pain but not the same pain he used to have which was chronic chronic chronic. the new pain is to be expected for the first 12 months or so according to the doc.

Thanks for the info. Mouse. Golfer - I missed any prize other than a ball. Net 66 on count back got third. The 'B' grade winner had 76 off the stick, net 58!!!!! Was never in the hunt.
