Seems like you toe must be really injuried. How's it going?
When you do get that toe working again, you might want to consider wearing your O'spikes out on the snowy/icy sidewalks/trails. That's gotta be a lot less repetitive than the treadmill - especially for a long run. And even on pretty tough ice (at least the worst we ever get here in PA) O'spikes work pretty well for me.
