Presumably the recorded times are just of the people who showed up at official time trials, going off at closely spaced interval starts. It is amazing how it is easier to go a little faster in a time trial when you have somebody in sight up ahead, or people coming past you at intervals. On the other hand, it is perhaps just as well that you aren't a woman and looking at the results for just other women, or it might be harder on the ego!

Not quite a time trial, either. The lead in to the list says that drafting is allowed, so you might want to find a nice big truck to follow up next time.
