I'd be worried about a self-propelled Garmin which moves around the house while you are asleep. Maybe you should lock it in the downstairs bathroom each night?

rockman's watch spontaneously sent out alarm signal at work. It ended up being put into the safe - perhaps to keep it safe from being whacked!

I put my 610 outside on the deck chair one day, and set it going for an hour. It ran circles around the lawn, and even popped over to the neighbour's for a chat. The 301 it was running with stayed put on the chair for the whole hour. Maybe the latest Garmins have taken it to a whole new level...

Ended up locking it in the upstairs bathroom - at least that meant I didn't hear it.

As for the following weekend, not really sure what to expect, although last Sunday suggests my endurance is reasonable if not my speed. Untested in the 4th and 5th hours though. At least it looks like there won't be any serious heat to deal with - the forecast for Katoomba on Friday is only 14, and Saturday will be warmer but not that much warmer - and at this stage only a few mm of rain are forecast over the days leading up, perhaps enough to make Nellies Glen slippery but not enough to put any serious water into the river.
