I remember thinking it was cold a few years ago paddling around Island Lake in early December at the Chill. Good on ya for getting in more mid winter paddling!

Roughly that Chill section is the part we hit the most. But last time Barbara was at our put in (a bit down from the furthest you got) it was all frozen up.

This bit is nice, mostly knee-ish deep, almost entirely clear of downed trees. Have to do something to get ready for the 10 hour section coming up in October!
