How many people are turning up nowadays? Do people socialise in pub after most weeks? I was going to start promoting the runs on Facebook, as I reckon they could be a good place for newish people to socialise.....

Just me, Ifor, Jackie+Michael and Phil running tonight, Charles came to pub after (been unwell so not running), and John Sadd(?) often pops along now (ex-BOK) for the pub too. Pete+Jo try to come along, as do Chris+Helen in the summer.

Was some talk in pub tonight about picking pubs in Bristol more often to make it easier for all to get to and Pete and Jo have to get back promptly.

Certainly would be good to advertise it as (for now) I'm skipping any run that requires driving the M5 to get south of the river and will likely be missing most January runs due to work. Would be much more of a social run with a larger group and cut down the instances where just 1 or even nobody turns up!

One or nobody turning up is rare. We had two 'ones' last year I believe and they were both at the same pub so it should probably not be on the list. I can't remember a single before that in a long time. If I know things are likely to be dodgy I try and make an even bigger effort to get there.

Certainly both me and Ifor have been only ones at Iron Acton before. Think the last no show was Clevedon in October last year (at least no me, Ifor, Charles, Halletts or Phil). Apart from these and times where people have arrived very late, or just not seen each other (Rowberrow?) not sure anybody has had to run alone.

Personal preference would be to see Chipping Sodbury dropped from the summer schedule (and Nailsea in winter) as not too fond of the routes and no food in the pub! Don't think we ever went back to Easter Compton after the first time?
