Send Silverbelly 13a 1st redpoint burn of the day! So psyched. What an incredible route! Really psyched to achieve the goal of sending a 13 at WI this year.

Hiked up to the Erratic and did 2 burns on County Ten Gunslinger 12c. I 2 hung it (I think?) on the 2nd go. Skin was shot and I'd powered down quite a bit. Psyched to get back on it though.

Good final day. I'm proud of myself for taking the rest day yesterday to set my self up for the Silverbelly send. Amazing and inspiring trip. I feel like I can climb harder stuff there. Recover and go back!

Send Burnt Beans and Coffee 12c 2nd go. Big jump, then a hard mono sequence at the top.
2.5 burns on Silverbelly 13a. Did all but 2 or 3 of the moves on the 3rd burn to the top. Didn't try it again b/c of tweak factor.
2 burns on Court and Spark 12b. One hung it on 2nd burn.

Whoops. We were out there for 9 hours. Ran out of water. Awesome day climbing and hanging out with Tom and Erica though.

The climbing here is so physical. I love it, but it beats the crap out of your body. Rad!

O Smith loop CW with 2 x 8sec hill sprints to hit 30min. Bailed on early Deseret Pk jog plan. Just not psyched to run anymore. So it goes. I still want to be able to bust 30-60min on dirt once or twice a week though. Good to get out after sleeping in. So hot already. Nice job getting it done.

B has stopped her dairy/ gluten free diet plan, but I'm psyched to still cut out cheese and try to clean up the diet some.

More of a hike then a run but I was wearing the running kit and this may be my only run this week. So, it's going down as a run. Super weak sauce legs and psyche from Guardsman with B and C. I had a few minutes running that felt good. But, overall, my hips and lower back were not having it today. Oh well. Good to get out on my feet for a while, I guess.

wu on OS 10b, 11c 2nd go, pretty fun
2 burns on the second crux of GITMB after pulling through the bottom crux. I did the move right hand to pocket after clipping bolt at jug rail. I tried a bunch of different beta but didn't get to the sloper rail. So, I've done all but one move. Kinda over it for now.
2 burns on Chockdust Torture 12c. Ugh. Did all the moves to the roof, then got shut down.
OS Three Easy Pieces 11d
Ended the day on 40oz to Freedom and fell pulling over the lip.

Almost to failure today. Decent temps. Endurance was good. Power was not. Need a couple rest days to recharge body and psyche.

Upper Membrane
wu 11c, then got on Gun in the Mouth Blues. Not gonna do that anymore, need to be more warmed up. Hot, humid, and low pockets were wet. 1st burn wasn't great. 2nd not much better.
Tried Slopbuckets 12b but couldn't get past 2nd bolt. Hard, man.
Gave GITMB another go with goal to link bottom crux, which I did with some yelling. Got good rest, then climbed to boulder prob above jug and took. Cooked. Baby steps progress.
Ended the day with an OS of 11b. The route was cool, but everything hurt.

It's sofa king hot. Expectations need to be adjusted accordingly. Progress on the the new, and yet another, 12d proj.

Ended the day with a surprise OS of The Tuba 12a. Great rock and movement. Awesome morning up there. My body just wasn't at full capacity. Rest this afternoon and tmw. Back at it Fri. Climbing is rad.

Kinda garbage legs today but psyched to go up there. Never been to Maybird, though it shares the first and last 2.65mi with Red Pine Lake. Cool to see the Pfeifferhorn from there. Overall, maybe the coolest of the 3 lake areas from that TH. Had the area to myself.

Went to Busload, but it felt like an oven in Box. 2 burns. Climbed from 4th bolt to top, which is a god lowpoint.

Then, up to the long, pumpy routes at Cragganmore:
OS 50 12c (18 bolts)
OS Popcorn 12b (14 bolts)

Back to Box on the way down canyon. Fell above 3rd bolt 1st go, 2nd go got to lip, clipped 5th bolt but pumped out. Oh well. I know I can do it. I just need the right head-body-temps triad configuration thingy. Solid mileage day nonetheless.

What a day! So psyched.
Went down with Hayden.
wu/ OS Protozoa 11c, pretty cool.
OS 48 12c! So psyched. Really good route.
Sent Ivy Mike 12d 4th go after 1st go beta burn, 2nd burn 1 hang. 3rd go was a total flail. I fell at the 4th bolt. Came down, tied back in and sent. Fought hard. Can't believe I didn't fall. So rad. Really good route too.
Ended the doing the proper start to An Affair to Remember 12d up to the roof. The bottom crux isn't bad at all. Psyched to go back.

Another fun day getting out with Hayden. Had the crag to ourselves. Glad to send today after long run on Monday.

From Mill D. Ate 2 gels and a Powerbar. Took an S-Cap at ~9.5mi on top of Red Lover Ridge before last descent. I got a wicked hamstring cramp in the last 1.5mi last summer. No cramps but general crappy feeling in legs and stomach starting at around 13mi. Hats off to myself for busting out the last 1.35 on the rd out and back to hit 15. Drank 19oz water. Cold this morning. 40F when I started. Got it done before the hordes arrived. Nice.

Solid jog and steady pace. Less than 10min of pics and pee stops. A 20 miler a week form now will be the final test to see if I'll give the Grand Lake loop a go. I need to stay on top of calories, esp with the AM cold temps. Considering how little I've been actually running, the past 2 long runs have gone well.

wu at wiper wall on Diff of Opinion 12b b/c guys were on the 11a. This was actually a better wu, just a slight pump.
3 good burns on Busload. High point on the 1st going to small crimp left hand after pulling the lip. Pumped out and took at lip after clipping bolt on 2nd go, and then climbed to top. So, one hung it. 3rd go, got to the lip, clipped the bolt and just pumped out fumbling around matching at the lip. 4th go was a bust. Took at 3rd bolt. So, no send, but small major gains. Psyched. I felt the most relaxed I ever have on that route. I get 3 good goes at most. Hope to go back on Fri.

Went back to wiper wall and OS'd The Attribute 12b, which was pretty cool, except a cobble almost fell on C and rock actually hit B's leg. So, choss rain. There were some clipping holds up high that I thought might bust off too. So glad to OS it. I am done with that wall. It's so hit or miss.

In all, a really good day. My power and endurance are decent right now. Psyche is high. Just gotta execute.

4 burns on Busload of Faith with 2nd burn being a highpoint to the lip. I felt solid through the roof but didn't pop enough to the hold from the bucket. Then it got hot, and I'd def powered down.
2 burns on Shoot Em Up 13a. 1st was a beta burn. 2nd was decent. Did all the clips. Felt good on it, despite being tired.

Fun and solid power day. The goal is to send Busload and Shoot Em Up on Sunday. A muerte siempre!

Groggy this morning. Legs tired but ok. Didn't sleep great last night between crazy heat and WWIII fireworks. Climbing at the Narrows tonight. Going to try to sneak in a nap this afternoon.

Fun PM sesh with Hayden
wu: OS new 10c, repeat 11a+ext, 3 burns on Texture (right) 12c. I hung it 3rd go. It's the same finish as TKO, with that finicky, flashy pumpy sequence at the top.
Beta burn on Nerve Agent 13a to 3rd last bolt. I was powered down a little and didn't want to waster daylight flailing around on it. Psyched to get back on it though, even if it's not as cool as TKO or Dust.
One last hail mary burn on Texture. 1 hung it after falling on last sequence again. No big deal.

Great mileage sesh, esp considering 10miler yesterday. The run drained a little of my psyche though, I think. Fun to get out wth H but didn't get home til 10:30.

Ran from Alta with B. Head up Grizzly Gulch, took a wrong turn. Turned around. Kind of the theme for the first 90min. Goal was get some up and down at elevation and 10mi. Mission accomplished. Drank 16oz water and ate 3 gels. We were out for 2:57. I actually felt pretty good the whole time. Nice.

Another good day. Moderate mileage and skills practice.
OS 11a, 12a Long Shadows
Send 12a Credibility Check 2nd go. Should've OS'd but (didn't) went to jug(!) at end of crux sequence wrong. Nuts. So much glue on this route- kinda rad in its novelty in that sense.

Flash Mind Steam 11c and OS Twisted Memories 11c, both really good with interesting movement. This crag is so funny. There are total choss nightmares and then you'll get on one of the best of the grade for the canyon.

Psyched to get back to Maple.

OS Difference of Opinion 12c. Easy for the grade, but maybe my endurance is better than I think.
About 4 burns on Busload of Faith 13a. To the top on first and last burn. I resorted some beta and now have a good sequence. I must need the fuego and the fuerte. Psyched to OS a 12 and get beatdown a little on a 13.
