Good session. Sent cave proj from yesterday first go (v6/7). Fell on the second last move on the v8 proj first go, and then sent it 4th go. Boom. Good to get some bonus crimp mileage even on the non-sending tries. I did some other easier stuff and scoped out some new projects. Ended with 90 sec plank and 107 push ups in 5 minutes. Getting stronger. Next 2 days off from climbing, and then hopefully hit AF this weekend.

1 hour bouldering
4 sets frenchies, 1, 1.6, 2, 2 cycles with 1-2min east bt cycles. Need to rest 5min b/t next time
6x 5 pull-ups every min on the min.
Decent workout. I have a couple projs to work tmw. I need to find an outdoor proj this weekend though to keep my gym annoyances in perspective. Still fun to climb on stuff though.

Fun day after not sleeping that great in the van.
Flashed 3s and a 4. Did a v5, worked Indolence v7 but couldn't do the last 3 moves. I didn't climb as well as I'd hoped. I got kind of cooked in the sun, so I didn't stay on top of hydration and nutrition very well. Still a good day.

11:30-4:30 at Joe's. I spent the majority of the day working out the beta and doing all of the moves on Sex Machine (V8). I can do the first and second halves- just need to put them together. I basically battled it until failure. Fun day in the sun, despite not sending.

After confirming that LCC is still dark and snowy, I went to the gym to see what a 3rd day on bouldering on plastic would feel like. Verdict- not good. So, I just did a few problems to move around and breathe a little, and then came home. Total rest. AF Sat and Sun.

I think I'm putting on muscle mass b/c I hardly ate anything for dinner last night, and my weight was up this morning. Who knows?

Bouldered for about 70min, and then did 3x 4 problems in a row with no rest V3-5. Good session. It felt good to get pumped and have to fight on the last problem on each set. Ended with 10 x 5 pulls up each minute on the minute alternating holds on "the rack." I'll probably be sore tmw. Word.

Another crowded day at the gym. I felt really good warming up. I tried the 12b route twice but no send. I get mad on it, so I'm going to leave it alone for a while. I did onsight a 12a on the steepest wall, which was cool. I did a cool slopey 12c on TR 3rd go (no option to lead it). 10 total pitches. I need a project outside to keep me psyched on these gym days. We should be able to get back to the billboard next weekend.

At the gym for 3.5 hours. Felt kind of tired. Tried a new 13a, as well as pretty hard 12b. Onsighted a soft 12a. 10 total gym pitches. Tmw, I hope to fire the 12b first go, and then put in some work on the 13a.

The goal was to run for less than 30 minutes. Mile 3 was 8:06- the closest I've come to running a sub 8min mile in some time. I got to wear shorts too- the warm before the storm. We'll probably not be climbing outside tmw.

Better today. I never felt great but as climbing at my normal levels, which I need to push past. I did 97 push ups in 5 min after about 90 min bouldering. I needed 2 days to get used to being back in the gym.

Much better sleep after moving the bed away from the wall.
My left knee hurt a little when I got up yesterday. It feels like IT band pain. I could feel it a little on the hike, but it didn't bother me when I was climbing. It still hurts a little this morning. No big deal though.

Back to the billboard. It was cold up there, which kinda drained me. I redpointed the chossy route I bailed on yesterday- felt 11a or so. Did Gridlock from the low start to the higher and dirtier finish 1st go (5.12b/c). I tried This Must be the Pickle 5.12d/13a, but it was freezing. I bailed at the 4th draw. I tried Club A on the way down. No send but got to the top to get the 2 draws I left up there yesterday. The crux on that route is clipping the 4th bolt. It wasn't a high mileage day, but I'm psyched to have now climbed all of the routes on the Gridwall officially. As I expected 2 weeks ago, I am going back to work tomorrow more tired than when I left on 12/20. But, what an awesome break! It's time to recover, and then start really getting down to business with trying to climb some hard routes.

Sunny but cold day at the Billboard.
Onsight a 10a not in the book and a little chossy, and then TR'd it to warm up a little more.
Sent "American Flyers" 5.12c/b first go of the day, second try ever. Psyched to do the bouldery start on this one.
Onsight "The Anarchist" 5.11c/d- dirty and just scary enough to make it pretty fun.
2 hang burn on "Club A" 5.12a on the way down the trail. The sun was gone, and it was crazy cold. Maybe jump on it on the way up tmw.
New pr on the hike up - 24:05.

Best run in a while, including a fun mile in the gulley. That trail is starting to grow on me a little. My legs are getting stronger from the hiking to and from the billboard. I dropped the pace down to low 6mm for up to 30sec a few times. I almost felt like a runner again today.

Slept ok on the floor of the living room. Went to bed at 9- so tired last night. Woke at 11 from neighbor's band practice, so we moved in to the living room. Awakened again after 12 by 10 minutes of fireworks. I feel pretty good this morning though. Psyched to get back on the new proj, which should go down quickly today.

Gorgeous day at the Billboard. Sent To Hell on a Rocket 5.12c/d second try of the day. Good 2 hang burn on American Flyers 5.12b/c that should go down within 1 or 2 tries next visit. Didn't climb that much overall but I'm psyched to get the objective. 1 hour of hiking to/ from.
