Running warm up/down 21:30 [2] 3.8 km (5:39 / km) +45m 5:20 / km

Orienteering 22:10 [4] 4.6 km (4:49 / km) +80m 4:26 / km

In Oslo for the day to do some sprint training. Started off with some sprint intervals around Hovseter. Really cool area but the map pretty out of date, a fair few areas where I had to quickly adapt routes due to new construction, or decide whether to follow the map or the ground in areas where fences etc had been removed.
Even with the few removed fences there was more than enough fence crossing practice - at least 10 in the session ;)

Good fun, but neither my legs nor my head felt in sprint mode.

Orienteering 17:30 [4] 3.8 km (4:36 / km) +50m 4:19 / km

2nd session at Torshovparken. Another set of sprintervals, but joined them up to get myself doing a 15min+ effort. First couple of controls were wiped out by map changes, but after that was all good. Map was printed at a smaller scale than it should have been, but can't really blame my super rusty sprint techniques on that.

Also, I happened upon no less than 7 stolpejakt controls today. I'm just that good at sniffing out orange and white things ;)

Running 1:16:00 [2] 11.7 km (6:30 / km) +230m 5:55 / km

Easy jog in Høiåsmarka with Kine and Iliana. Then slept on the couch, before dressing up to go have 17 Mai icecream downtown.

I'm not really one for watching the big parade and all the fanfair, but I'm more than happy to celebrate Norway by putting on a dress and eating icecream...provided it's a nice summer day like today ;)

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 3.5 km (5:43 / km)

listless jog around the park. Not having the best of days. I listened to a TedX talk and follow up podcast today which hit pretty damn close to home. One of those times I realise how insane the last while has been. Feeling on the edge of tears the rest of the day so was good to get of the house and out in the sun and fresh air.

Running intervals 18:00 [4] 3.0 km (6:00 / km)

No way I was feeling up to 4 min intervals, so gave them a hard pass. Feeling a brighter and up for the 6x1min and 6x30s ones though.

Biking 25:00 [2] 8.0 km (3:08 / km) +130m 2:53 / km

Huzzah for not having to run home!

Biking 2:39:00 [2] 44.5 km (3:34 / km) +680m 3:19 / km

Ride with Kine over in Ertemarka. Great day for it, sunshine and just enough of a breeze to keep internal temperature manageable. My only grumble was finishing with the climb from town up to home, where as Kine lives in town, so had the climb at the very start of the ride.

My bum hurts now. Ok, so two grumbles ;)

Football 1:00:00 [1] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

I'm really not sure how to log football training, as it's always such a mix;
WU jog, drills and sprints, strength, passing drills, match play and shooting. And varying every session.
90mins all up, but minus rest time, waiting in line time and match talk...70mins?
And then moving/cardio time (so minus passing drills, strength as well), 45mins?

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [2]

Ended up finishing off some work late, so only got to strength half way through. Turns out the second half of the session is way more enjoyable when you haven't done the first half!

bortkamp mot Ås

25 degrees and artificial turf with lots of nice black rubber for extra warmth. mmmm
I doubt we can entirely blame the heat for the quality of the match though. Ås aren't a great quality team, and we really dropped to their level. Not much of a passing game going on, and I got pretty frustrated to be honest. Not helped by their central midfielder, who seemed to enjoy climbing all over me, whether the ball was near or not. She also seemed to have 4 or 5 elbows. Anatomical miracle.

Anyway, we won 5-0. So I should stop complaining I guess.
