Running 1:15:00 [2] 13.0 km (5:46 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel DS Trainer IX

The launch of autumn training season - code name "Antti Örn is going down" - was today. It wasn't a spectacular start...legs remembered the ericaceaes of Kainuu bit too well. While I was running I decided that during the next week I'll go and run the XC-test run on my own.

I slept 11h and when I woke up I was sure that the clock would be around seven, it was almost noon. The whole day was the same.

The start was all wrong. And with start I mean leaving the CC. It was 2.5km of a small path to the start and I left 23min before the beep. I was already tired when I got to the starting place. Then I stressed out that will my gps find the satellites in time (yes it did, 7s before the start) and last two minutes before the start I (like all the other in that start) stood in the middle of an ant-highway. There were dozens of ants climbing up my legs just few seconds before the start.
And as you can imagine from the intro, first four controls were a mess. Then little improvement for a while. Althogh this improvement included lack of consentration as well. E.g. on #6 I stood 5m away from the cp thinking where am I going and on #8 I ran to the cp, almost punched, looked the code of #7 and thought this isn't my cp and continued forward...
Then leg 11 was the last nail in the coffin. For some reason I started to follow this H35-40 guy from #10 cause his pace was just right and he was going to the right direction. Or was he? I was totally lost for a while and when I located myself for some reason I thought to call it quits - physically. I walked the uphills and ran pretty slowly on flats and downhills 'til the end. Still I managed to get some good splits which amazes me a bit.
It was my turn to buy beer for Antti.

KRV summarize.
Day1, it was good expect #4 and shoe laces. Without those it would've been close with Antti.
Day2, this I'm most happy about. The performance was 100% me and it was a pretty goos one.
Day3, best result but 95% of it goes to Jouni Mäkäräinen.
Day4, Could KRV have only three days in the future?
Antti earned four beers and an ABC-lunch. For Pete's sake, that's gotta change!
About 60 places up in the ranking so the direction is good. Although I have to admit that those KRV-ranking points had a 1.05 coefficient in them.

#1 was good but then a whole lot of small mistakes to almost every cp. Then on #7 some S-JKL guy punched the same time. Since I didn't know who he was or had I started before him or after, for few legs I did my own run. But soon I realised that this guy had potential. I started to rely more and more to his performance and read map only 20% of what I normally do. Without Jouni's help it might've been my turn to buy sauna beer for Antti.

A lot better than day before yesterday. New shoe laces, new (better) terrain and new concentration level.
In my scale everything went fine except #4 and #8. Going towards #4, in the middle of the leg I crossed a narrow bog. I looked left and it seemed that it ended there, hill up, little running and I'm in the spur, what spur?, there's no spur here, little standing/map reading and I located myself from the right.
Then on #8 I made a lot more stupid mistake. Everything was going moderately well until way before the clearing I started to read the next leg. Then I drifted to left, didn't bother to look left for how close the clearing end was and of to a wrong knoll. Only good side of this was that I found a route to the next control which no-one else did. Only executing it didn't go 100% well.
Again, Juha bought beer to Antti.
