Wee shuffle round His of Banchory. Definitely the mid hamstring that is sore now - probably masked by other tweaks earlier. Lovely sunny morning.

No real problems from hamstring doing any exercise.

Lap of Dess Woods. Hamstring insertion point OK but lower hamstring a bit tweaky and sore - maybe another injury point or maybe caused by running awkwardly? Anyway much more normal running style (or as near to normal as I get!) but can't stretch leg out yet. Time should solve it.
Aim now is to get terrain fit for JK and just accept whatever level of aerobic fitness I have...

Run in Bell Wood - lap of paths plus a few extra loops. Leg didn't like the start - muscles in lower hamstring and shin were really cramping up but gradually eased off as the run went on. Struggling to lift right knee high.

Note

Visited physio. Nothing major damaged. Given some exercises to do regularly and hopefully injury will ease off over time.

Run back from Edinburgh to apartment in New Town, mostly along Water of Leith. Very pleasant day - wearing too much kit! Right leg not good, twisting nd not stretching out properly, very tight lower ham and upper calf.

Bored of doing nothing so tried a wee run along the railway line at Aboyne. Managed to shuffle along without too much pain but some discomfort and restricted movement.

Loop from Haugastol to north. Poorly pisted trails so heavy going. Bad fall on descent, pulled right hamstring & glute. Not feeling good in evening.

Skate skiing at Liatoppen, long loop then 3.3k loop. Legs tired on big hills (and technique not up to it!).

Skiing from above Hol. Beautiful afternoon with low sun, snow thin on ridge so took some more northern tracks behind ridge and they were pretty much perfect.
Finished with the last of the sun (dropping behind Halingskarvet). V tired by end.

Wee ski with S at Opheim. Nice snow but tracks not recently pisted so a bit tricky in parts. Cold (-12) but warmed up after a bit and was fine for rest of way.

DNC Muir of Dinnet. Started well but hesitant at 2, missed a lot at 7 and 11 - not careful enough on compass. Running badly to protect ab. Still tweaking a lot after.
