Run with Talent squad + from Dinnet - across the muir, onto Cnoc Dubh and back round S side of Loch Kinord. Strong wind which felt cold at the start, but ok once we got going and even brightened up a bit. Good run with everyone keeping up a brisk pace.

Feeling beaten-up today. Must have run harder than I realised at Haughton. Either that or iI'm enjoying the holidays too much! Not sure why my arms and upper body are sore though.
Went over to Strathdon for a brief peak-bagging mission to claim my 50th prominent peak at Green Hill. Nothing very inspiring about it or the run, but good to get out and hopefully loosen off a bit. Tick.

Carnferg with Maroc TS +. Up the Fungle and back down the Birsemore Hill side. Surprisingly chilly in the wind. Great to see everyone out kick-starting the holidays with a good long run.

Morven Night run. Mild evening but very windy even at the bottom. Hard work all the way up into a headwind. Top in 65'. A wee snifter and a few chocs, then back down before chilling off. Good turnout, but never even saw who all was there. Legs were suffering from last nights session. Cramp in the calfs was lurking but never quite kicked in.

With DR in Aboyne. A bit too icy on the Green, so did some tempo reps on the roads round the perimeter of the Green and the Boat. 3 laps - 7:23, 7:20, 7:23 with a few minutes recovery between. Felt ok and not too far behind Eve S on the first two. Then 3 x 1' +1'. Tough session.

Headtorch lap of the woods. Felt fresh with a flurry of snow and a breeze picking up. Just what I needed.

D/h Skiing 1:00:00 [2]

Skiing at Glenshee with E and Goochs. Wobbly start with the wind lifting E and J into the air on the ski tow, but lots of fun after we found a less exposed run. Snow in excellent condition and pretty good overhead apart from the wind. The boys had a great time ;-}}

With J from Braemar up Creag Choinnich and then Carn nan Sgliat to the south. First snowy run of the winter. A bit crusty and shin crunching in places but a lovely day and some good views to the north. Felt good to be out in the hills again.

DNC at Balmedie. Messed up route to 3 (got onto wrong path) and otherwise just a bit scrappy in various places.
Not been feeling very with it all day and glands feel swollen, so hope this wasn't a mistake. Guess I'll know tomorrow.

Orienteering race 54:00 [4]

DNC at Glen Davan. Didn't want to miss out on the fun despite my cold. Head was a bit wooly and managed to bin ~5mins at no 2. Mostly good after that until 17 and 18 where I lost ~2mins at each. Great wee area for night O and a lovely clear night. Less snow than at Dess.

Run in the hills behind the hostel with the girls. Little bit of snow on the ground but mostly bright overhead until the dark moved over bringing a blatter of snow towards the end. Easy pace and legs didn't feel too bad.

Really enjoyed the Maroc talent squad weekend - positively inspiring to be working with such a happy enthusiastic group of youngsters.

Control hanging and shadowing at Achtemarack. Magic forest, chilly day with some icy blasts.

Map run on Plodda with the girls. Really enjoyable although the forest was a big soggy sponge.

Feeling really washed out. Too much intensity at work and 3 nights of quivering twitching legs resulting in poor sleep. So an easy recovery run round and about bits of woodland in Aboyne .
