Orienteering 51:04 [4]

Fun orienteering course up at sfu, managed to keep warm (hands kinda frozen at the beginning but they warmed up). Was mostly afraid I would somehow get the frozen feet thing, was careful when I tied my shoelaces.

Running warm up/down 17:00 [3]

Warm up

Running 43:30 [4]

Gunner Shaw cross country - pretty muddy, but also cold so there was ice on the major puddle so we did not run through it. Plenty of other wet sections, and the usual sand section.

Running 27:00 [3]

Lunch run with thomas, and 6 strides on the track (jogging the curves running the straights)

Stretching/exercises 50:00 [1]

Runners yoga, late and missed all the warm up... it was another of his more aggressive core workouts (lots of plank ;), felt good to stretch out a bit... too much sitting and coding as of late.

Orienteering 1:13:00 [3]

After a few days with huge amounts of project work near the end of term, managed to get out and take Thomas to his awards banquet for radio orienteering in Delta, and I went to watershed park. Made a course with over 50% of the rocks in the park and some other point features. The biggest mistake I made was when I read ahead one control and ran up/down a trail trying to figure out where I was since it did not with the area I was reading. Saw no one in the forest, but had a scare when I came into an area and an owl took off (then was afraid he was going to swoop me and ran for a bit with my hands/arms over my head). About 2/3 of the way through my course my light blinked and told me it would very soon run out of batteries, I turned it down to a lower setting, but it blinked again and started to get very dim... did a tempo to get out of the forest before it died completely!
