Stretching/exercises 10:00 [1]

Little bit of core/stretching. Had a lazier studying day and it got a bit late for a workout. Also, this morning I realized that my ankle was rather sore (tender to the touch and slightly swollen in one specific area), and I distinctly remember going over on it yesterday. After all these years thinking my ankles are indestructible, it appears not to be totally true. That whole foot is ankle area is a bit messed (ongoing minor plantar fasciatis and other stiffness/aches, as well as the bone spur like object on the side), somehow the other foot has nothing wrong with it.

Warm up, down and along the beach on the slippery rocks.

Downs the stairs, and warm down home.

Later evening run with Thomas, Ian, Kristian and Mattias. Ended up as a bit of a fartlek, trying to keep up with the boys and first, then Mattias dropped off a bit, then he had several second winds, but we definitely changed speed quite a bit. Stopped near the end to stretch his knee, and went home a bit slower.

Along false creek - should run here more often since all the other runners motivates me to try to pass people ;) Went slowly faster and faster.

Orienteering 3:36 [3]

Tiny orienteering course I designed for myself on an airphoto of a little park near the olympic village where I was exploring. Bit more brambly than I had hoped, so not very fast.

Exploring the Olympic village quickly, and tempo back to the false creek community center.

Pretty hard core/lots of transitions yoga class.

6 times 800m by myself at the track (thought I would have someone to train with this evening, but did not pan out, rather unmotivated to get out ;( but felt ok once out there (had to convince myself on the last few intervals though as they got more painful).

First WET in awhile... since I have been too busy with school. Had fun, but felt a bit jerky in the orienteering. Kept taking the more bushwhacking routes... which was not necessarily smart.
