Note

First half of day- continuing reunionizing at a friends farm up at Dartmouth, so good to see all. Scrumptious breakfast + sunshine.

Then off to southern VT for another friends' wedding, the ceremony was in both Italian and English and the juxtaposition of the two families/friends was amazing- the glossy Italians in black and sparkles and the VT hippies in linen and button-downs (one guy had dreads nearly 3 ft long!) And much tango dancing into the night, some guys were patient enough to try to teach me. It's an amazing dance, very different than salsa, more dramatic, less set, partners must be more in tune...
7 AM

Running 15:23 intensity: (2:45 @1) + (10:30 @2) + (2:08 @3) 1.41 mi (10:56 / mi) +78m 9:19 / mi
ahr:138 max:160

Orienteering 53:42 intensity: (28:53 @1) + (22:15 @2) + (2:34 @3) 2.28 mi (23:33 / mi) +151m 19:32 / mi
ahr:120 max:164

One friend at reunions decided a 7am run around in the woods with a map was a good idea. =) He's just recently out of the marines and kept referring to o as "land nav" and being really confused by the 1:10 scale.

But I only printed up 1 map, so that meant we had to keep switching and I had no way to follow along when he was navigating. Led to much confusion, some attempts at relocation... Altogether kinda slow orienteering and not great training although good to catch up with Anthony and show him what this sport is about!

Running 23:14 intensity: (17:33 @1) + (5:41 @2) 2.21 mi (10:31 / mi) +13m 10:20 / mi
ahr:121 max:143
