run 20:20 [1] 3.5 km (5:49 / km)
shoes: Lunarglide 2

After thinking that I'd pulled up OK from Tuesday's effort, I really tightened up and got sore Weds night. Felt rubbish Thursday morning, but could walk pain free after the morning Deep heat massage. Thought I'd try the Thursday arvo trot anyway, just to see whether it was just stiffness or something I shouldn't be ignoring. Didn't feel too bad, during, or immediately after. Ufortunately didn't get to the ice for about 4 hours and it has been pretty crap since Thursday night/Friday morning.

Still sore now (Saturday arvo)

So... I get through 15 minutes with minial damage, but the fact is that even that is irritating things. Achilles are definitely sorer to touch even after a 15 mniute run than before, and stay that way for a couple of days. The best I have felt in the last few months is when I've had a complete break for a couple of weeks (even stopping the rehab). Doing the rehab keeps things a bit looser, but still sorer than doing nothing, and running at all seems to be a case of management. THere doesn't seem to be a minimum amount that I can do without causing some damage.

Will just do nothing till the rogaine, then give it time to settle again and see whehter it's worth getting in for some scans / further medical advice.

run hills 30:58 [2] 6.0 km (5:10 / km)
shoes: Adistar Salvation

Oops. A bit longer than intended. Did the warm-up for the session, jogged up and down the hill twice (it isn't that steep so I didn't think it would cause me too may issues) 2:16 and 2:12 for the 2 reps of Kalinda, but then I was at the boittom of the hill, so after a strewtching session while others ran, I had to shuffle back to the top of the hill and then complete the cooldown.
Was sensible and iced when I got home. Will see if I've overdone it tomorrow I suppose.

run 15:20 [3] 3.3 km (4:39 / km)
shoes: Kswiss somethings

Second run in a week! Hard to be good and do what I was told and keep the runs this short. Felt like a bit of a knob running in tights for a 3km outing... but I wanted my legs to be warm from the start. Achilles a little uncomfortable at first, but settled to a slightly tight feeling on the outsode of both heels pretty quickly.
Fine to walk around etc after (iced twice) but sorer to touch than before run, so still causing some irritation.

I have been very slack and not done my rehab exercises since the footy match a couple of weeks ago. Am going to try to resume them when I get back into the rhythm of work.

run warm up/down 21:30 [1] 4.0 km (5:23 / km)
shoes: Adistar Salvation

WU and CD for Tuesday intervals. A bit tighter than I had hoped initially. Cool Down after a lot of stertching to kill time during the session felt much more comfortable.

MTBO 2:00:00 [3] 20.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Diamondback Vectra Sport

Hanging and collecting controls for MTBO race.

Day went pretty smoothly other than finding a new track when hanging controls (in a control circle) This, however, turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as when I was updating the maps, I realised I had put a wrong control on the course 1 maps (should have used corpse after all) which I changed less than 30 minutes before the first start...

Thanks to tRicky, Lois and Wallys for admin help and to all my control collectors. Got finished before it got dark. YAy.

Note

Staff vs Student Footy match after school. 32 minutes of runnig the hardest I have for 2 months. Took a while to get into it and start committing the bodt to hte contest. Surprsingly pain free (in achilles anyway) for the majority, even with the jumping landing and accelerating (but pulled up soreish for the next couple of days)

Unfortunately, the students won, so Thursday at School was a case of hiding wherever possible.
