Orienteering 1:07:31 [3] 6.1 mi (11:04 / mi)

Back in 2019, completing the Loch Ordie sosol green was quite the high point, where orienteering began to seem possible again.. Things have improved a lot since then, and entering the Short Brown was the right answer, a nice clean run for a reasonable length of time. Missed a trick on the long leg when perhaps legging it all the way round the path would have been better than "running" straight up the marsh, but really only because etc along countering approach was nice grass not the tough heather elsewhere.
"Caught" Jonathan Molloy at 7, and we were together from then on, he a little faster across the ground but a beacon letting me attack the flags 8-9-10. Last few were v.easy.

Seemed like a good idea at the time to agree to join Jane for a post race bike east from Kinnoull. and it was lovely. legs, not so much.

Scottish middle champs. Kinnoull. Supervet 55-64. 7th
Nice day, nice course. Pretty much clean all the way round, splits strongly correlated with climb. Lost the one place on he run in. Tim Griffin won in 27.16. Pretty happy with all that.

South Edinburgh Sprintelope.
Essentially Pollock Halls with a run out to and from Wards house. Planned by LoWard and tricky in places, many folk needing to look at compasses as the course spun us around (not tempted: mine was in a drawer)
Clean as you might hope give how much time I spent there, and just a couple of minutes down in the overalls. Looking like William Ivory might pass me on the ground as he ate up time on the street sections, but the halls were more even - he was just over a minute ahead by the end.
