One lap of the 50m pool after Pat and Russell's birthday party, just to see if I could manage a whole 50m without a rest. Just tried to stay strong and controlled, not flat out. Felt fairly comfortable really.

Metro at Atwell. Too hot for a proper race effort. Thought I started out pretty easy but I just got slower and slower anyway. Felt like a jog in some ways and an all out race effort in other ways. Wasn't that happy with my route, felt as though I started the wrong way and couldn't ever work out a good option. Ended up just deciding to get everything I wasn't sure I wanted to skip until there were no more choices about how to get back. Brian took that technique to an extreme getting his last control at the far end of the map leaving himself a 2k run back to the finish.
