Note

i had a job interview at the University of West London today, and got offered the position this afternoon. It's a permanent position and a big, big pay rise so fairly easy decision... back in London in August.

Now I just need to think carefully about where I should move to. i need to be close to open space! maybe richmond or wimbledon... we shall see.

road running 1:41:16 [2] 19.87 km (5:06 / km) +67m 5:01 / km
ahr:136 max:147 shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 16

from hurn airport after dropping off hire car, back home via a long route.

good things about this run:

- no problem with distance and didn't feel mentally tired or like i was going to bonk any time soon. feel like the last 8-10 days of training should have set me up as well as possible for the British Long Distance champs. not much more i can do now.

bad things about this run:

after about 50 mins I really started to feel the training in my legs - sore calves, hamstrings and occasionally on my footstrike.

conclusion: time to take a couple of days rest and rehab, and start tapering over the next couple of weeks.
