Yeah, those weren't much fun. My thighs were peppered red after that, then itchy as the scabs finished their work. David and I should have gone east to use more of the trails. I felt like I couldn't run much so we only covered a distance that I could have done in almost half the time. This is what David and I needed to go for; to get more ready for more of the unexpected.

... the higher points were up north for that reason. Bloody legs were rewarded.

That might reward tough work but it's not encouraging to go back.
