Arse!

Can you please have a look at your splits and tell me how your consistency is slow?! Also please look at your adjusted pace and hand on your heart tell me that is slow for your what 9th race straight?

Lastly please reflect on an 88.23% clean splits because that is what AP tells me you achieved when tired and dealing with asthma. (15/17c) so let’s see if we can understand what you did for those 15c and can i suggest that’s your take away to continue to do in your next course please?

i know ive improved a lot, and I am happy with my race. It's just that finding out that Angelica was 6 minutes faster than me (despite mispunching- even if she caught it that wouldn't have been a 6 minute error) while saying how she messed up and lost 30-60s on every control, it just hit me how much faster she is based on running speed alone, and that's sort of what frustrated me. I am happy though that I finally had a pretty solid middle race.

she’s my mom. she’s fast as shit. in case ur ever like “why can’t i be as fast as angelica!” here’s some angelica stats that get me going:

- last year, after barely recovering from a broken arm, she ran a 25 min 5k
- she qualified for boston ~40ish year old (aka a 3:45 marathon aka 5:20 a km for FORTY TWO KM), and she forgot to sign up

she’s not someone to think “oh i’m slow” when ur beat by. she’s unfortunately more of a “damn she’s fast”

Also a miss punch is a Misspunch. sadly doesn’t matter how speedy you are it won’t get you a gold.

So let’s chanel the having fun part here because that’s clearly something Angelica has when running. And when you enjoy what you’re doing it always feels easier and better.
