Ah, so that was your map we found (I think between 34 and 35). Christina picked it up: she would have bailed you out a second time had you not been an hour ahead!

I can't resist reporting one memory of running with you early on when you turned to me and said, "I think we've started too fast," and then promptly picked up the pace. Well, one of us had started too fast.

I remember that comment. And I think I slowed just a little, I know a little later I wasn't breathing that hard. But I felt I was just a little stronger than you. You were complaining about your hamstring early on, crossing those rough fields. And then a while later you seemed to be more trying to hang on rather than running up front, and I figured it was just a matter of time before you dropped back.

Doesn't sound like the second half was a lot of fun. Some of those trail runs went on for a while, but I didn't mind the lack of hills!

Right hamstring, left quad: predictable problems. Originally I thought, I'll just walk the hills. But there weren't many hills, and I started walking some of the flats, a minute or two here, a minute or two there.

I was mostly cramped on the right side - calf, front of lower leg, foot and hamstring. Also left foot and a bit of left ham. Quads were fine, though. Quite tired today and content to watch the Patriots play the Jets.

Yep, I have Peter's map. Don't take it personally, Peter, but had I known it was yours (and not Jeff's or Phil's, who were within catching distance), I would have just left it. Oh well. Motivated me to catch those two, at least.

I was with Corine when we found your punch card leaving #1. I also found some control descriptions crossing the field on the way to #35, did you lose those also?

No, I lost my control descriptions at #1 also. When I got back to the S/F at halfway, I forgot to ask for a replacement unless just as I was starting to run away, and they didn't have any right there. Imagine my pleasant surprise when Gail and Sandy were waiting in the parking lot with a new copy. Kept them all the rest of the way.

Apparently I was so focused on hanging on to them that I lost my map instead.
