Adventure Race race 4:16:00 [3] *** 23.0 mi (11:08 / mi)
spiked:20/21c

MNOC AR Tune-up. Had a very good return to racing with LAA. Plan was to go steady with no nav mistakes. Result turned out better than expected. It sounds like we made some good time on the paddle and we passed two teams on the bike.
I think we also made up some time on teams on the first control after the paddle. I think some teams went up and around instead of staying in the flat marshy area.
Only miss on a control was 3 minute or so mistake on 18. Used the bench as an attack point and saw a re-entrant junction on what I thought was the right bearing. Quickly saw the trail and used that to get to the control.

Orienteering race 1:24:00 [3] 6.6 km (12:44 / km) +250m 10:42 / km
shoes: Vasque Blur 2

Ran the Red course after about 15 minutes rest from the AR tune-up. In that time I slammed some powerade and a donut. I was tired so I just focused on steady speed and clean navigation. Only had one mistake. I tried to contour from 5 to 6 and I missed it high. I think I might have dragged Pete behind me. Going to 7 I took the LONG route following the trail up the bluff. Cramped at one point, but was very happy with my time.

Ford/Lake loop. Felt fairly strong and my time was solid. I am not sure of distance, but I believe it to be between 6.5 and 7 miles. Helped today by a group running ahead of me that was slightly slower, so I worked to pass them. Then about a mile before home I heard a guy catching up to me so I tried to hold him off and I did.

Daycare commute taking the long way home. Went to the Minnehaha DQ and then checked out the falls before following River Rd back home.

Riding to and from TNT as well as the workout.
12 laps on the hill. Jasper rode on the tagalong for 9 I think. Some he helped, some not so much. Fun workout with everybody. Molly sporting Rena in the backpack. Jasper had his first Hammer gel. I realized I didn't bring him any snacks about the time he said, "I'm hungry." After the gel, he beat me up the hill running.

Running 6:00 [2] 0.8 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Vasque Blur 2

Had planned to do more hills, but got sidetracked by a Jasper stop in the potty. On the one I did, he got a big headstart and I didn't catch him. I thought for sure he would need to stop, but he didn't. He ran all the way down too, and then he was done. Completely. Went to bed quickly too.
