Easy 30' - feeling a little sore in a few places, including left knee where my injury/niggle was last few months. Turns out running in circles isn't super easy on the body.

Strength and Conditioning 1:15:00 [2]

WU followed by weighted leg strength. Could feel knee in single leg WU exercises so opted just did bilateral strength, saving unilateral for next time. Felt pretty good during, no issues.

Was supposed to be the hour of power but couldn't quite cop a whole hour so opted for 45' but to make up for it did an all out sprint for 30" every 2.5 min.

Ground contact and early leg recovery drills. First go at these and was pretty bad - so a good sign that I can get a whole lot better.

Quick ride pre a late minute call up for some work. Should probably put some pants on.

Road bike intervals 38:00 intensity: (24:40 @2) + (13:20 @4)

Trainer session: Bike sesh: 5*(8*20" hard, 10" spin) with 1' spin b/w.

Put the bike computer on for this one and I think I had it slowly increasing resistance and I couldn't figure out how to change it... Or maybe I just suck at riding.

Weighted strength. Been a while since I have done proper strength work and never properly done squats/deadlifts so taking this as a good opportunity to get my technique right before I can get to a gym. Using approx. 20kg with two dumbbells.

I now have a cycle trainer courtesy of Aislinn. Two things I realised following this first session:
#1: My butt isn't as muscular as I would like to think
#2: I am very bad at cycling

26km for 26 years. One of the most mentally challenging runs I have ever done. Thanks to Peter for offering up some good podcast material - would recommend "My dad wrote a porno", it was actually too funny for me and I had to turn it off as I wasn't breathing so well...
