Running warm up/down 25:00 [3] 5.12 km (4:53 / km) +35m 4:43 / km

Running race (Launceston Classic - 5km) 17:32 [5] 5.35 km (3:17 / km) +48m 3:08 / km

Launceston 5km classic and Tasmanian 5km championships.
13th place, 17:32.
Really good race on a really good street circuit in the centre of Launceston with plenty on spectators out and about. Unfortunately it was a little but long, which was made longer by me taking some corners wide and some zig zagging at the start. So time for the 5km according to my garmin was 16:30 which I would be extremely happy with but I am a bit hesitant to award myself as my old garmin was known to add a little distance in buildings and this one could be the same. The general consensus by runners was that it was about 200-250m long so my time was probably more around 1645-1650.

Still very happy with my race and felt particularly good, considering that I had a 21st on the previous night so was up till 330 and had to spend 2 hours of my day driving home.

Running long 1:01:19 [3] 12.66 km (4:51 / km) +155m 4:34 / km

Thursday was supposed to be a faster run than today so just cruised through kate reed. Still quads felt a little tired on the hills.

Note

Just realised that being embargoed from the gorge is going to be the shittest thing for summer... And training..

Running long 1:05:00 [3] 14.19 km (4:35 / km) +184m 4:18 / km

Fairly speedy run on the muddy single track of kate reed. Ran originally with Ash and then left him as he only wanted to do a shorter run. Was waiting for the heavens to open and drench me as there was a thunderstorm hanging over launceston. Luckily I got away and was happy with how I was running.

Running race (3km time trial) 9:57 [5] 3.0 km (3:19 / km) +15m 3:14 / km
shoes: Saucony Grid Type A4

3km time trial between work at tail race by myself. Wanted to get a benchmark time in to track my progress over summer. However my legs were still sore from the weekend, I was by myself and it was windy so it shouldn't be too hard to beat. The goal is to run 9:30 for 3km by the start of February and below 9:45 by start of January.
