Strength and Conditioning 31:30 [4]

Shit day for training today, made one of my blisters worse yesterday and it was really hurting to walk on today and was a little infected. My run was going to be on sand, through water and on rocks so I decided I may have made it through in a lot of pain but It would of made my blister. So I decided to swap my monday training with today's except this was again stopped by a lack of a bike that actually worked as I am at my shack. In the end all I did was go for a swim and study except for this session. Not to worried though as I smashed out some solid study, 7 hours worth!

Running (Terrain) 1:24:09 [3] 17.18 km (4:54 / km) +125m 4:44 / km
shoes: Karhu Strong

Long terrain run on beach and coastal bush/rocks. Pushed quite hard, probably harder than last Saturday but still was considerably slower, shows the difference between terrain and trails! Was quite fun but some of the sand sections were horrid to run on, finished off with a 2km burst at 4:00min/km which was quite hard on the beach and into the wind. Had a very slow warrm down km back to my shack afterwords. A good run on a beautiful tanning day but tommorrows run will now be a struggle, shouldn't have gone overtime by 10 mins!

Running long 1:30:00 [4] 20.19 km (4:27 / km) +55m 4:24 / km
shoes: Karhu Strong

Fast long run from school around the flats near the river, to tailrace and then heritage forest, on trails. Wasn't sure how my shins would feel and they felt pretty average for the first 10km, stopping once for a quick stretch. Was only supposed to be 75 mins but just after 10km my shins started to feel better and better so i decided to continue on, the rest of my body feeling amazing. Struggled in the 17th and 18th kms into a strong headwind and then finished strong at 4:20km for the last 2 kms, into the wind. Happy with how good I felt and shins felt better when I finished than before I started!

Mountain Biking warm up/down (Recovery) 26:15 [3] 8.32 km (19.0 kph) +65m

Didn't have time for a warm down after run so went for an easy ride when I got home and then did some stretching. Didn't feel to bad so wasn't too slow.

Mountain Biking race (Orienteering) 20:17 [4] 6.56 km (19.4 kph)

Riding the twilight at inveresk. Was good fun and pushed hard in the places I could but had to jump of bike at most of the controls. Started behind ash, caught him at 5, then he ran past me at 7 as it was slow for me. Beat him home though so happy!

Running warm up/down 44:47 [3] 8.12 km (5:31 / km) +111m 5:10 / km
shoes: Saucony Grid Type A4

Warm up from Shauns to the village green, and strides. This is where my shinhs started hurting a lot but i thought I could get through session and they would feel better. But this was foolish thinking as in the first int I was in a fair bit of pain and but for some reason I wanted to keep going as I felt so good everywhere else. Smartly I made myself stop and then had to do a slow depressing run back to shauns, walking up the hills to avoid any unneeded pain. Really annoyed by this and will ride tommorrow then see how I feel on Thursday, I am going to ring the podiatrist just to explain what is happening and see if she has any ideas on the matter.
5 PM

Running intervals 3:23 [5] 1.0 km (3:23 / km) +15m 3:09 / km
shoes: Saucony Grid Type A4

On the plus side, it was a fairly good pace for the int I finished, on the tough terrain loop.
