Chemung, the western part. Getting to be so it's quite a good hike to get out to where there's still areas to be mapped. And not a short direct hike either - cut across the somewhat thick and rocky hillside, or take the trail up the hill and hen back down, or loop around to the east and cut in from that side.
Two beavers not really pleased with my presence and one dead hawk laying on the ground - couldn't tell what had done it in.

Homestead Forest trails in Ashland.
Loop turned out to be just at 5 km - Devil's Den Trail, then the W branch of the upper loop to the cellar hole, then the small trail over to the old road, right on that, then right again onto Lambert Road back to parking.
Plenty of climb, only a few mosquitos.
