Can't remember how long it was. 40 plus. Got back before dark, but it is getting harder in the evenings.

It was really about 3 and a half hours, but some of that was standing still, pondering control placement and hanging streamers.

And taking a photo of a new friend... a rather long (5') and wide (maybe 3") black snake. Either a black rat (endangered) or black racer (more common). Didn't get a good enough photo to id it later. But it stayed still the whole time as I approached, skirted around, stopped to take some photos, and then headed off again.
