7 K2s from Basecamp 1 and a full Artawhoop. Hammer and Super turned up to share the fear. We each wavered at some point in the workout, but never at the same time. But nobody cracked and we each finished all 7.

run 2:45:00 [3]

Longest run in years with Turbo and the quadrupeds (together an octoped). Got out of the valley just as the frozen ground was giving way to a world of mud. The girls were filthy, but Turbo showered with both thereby 1) getting the Greta One and her Trixyship clean and 2) fulfilling a longstanding male fantasy he seems to have had. Balogna and I gave him space.

Left knee stiff and sore. Gotta be careful for the next few weeks.

run hills 56:00 [5]

5 Artawhoops or 5 R3's. Thought about this through the whole exercise and haven't come to a firm conclusion.

There are "Artabans", which convention holds to be to the bottom of Artaban and back up to the gate (women's tee) or the stone pillar (men's tee).

There are "Whoops", which are understood to be from the bottom of Artaban and up the steep side to the exit of Head Smashed in Deer Jump and back down.

A "leg" is down one side and up the other side in either direction. A "circuit" is two legs, wherein you finish where you started. If this were the Grand Canyon, everyone would call a "circuit" an R3: Rim to Rim to Rim. But here it is likely just an "Artawhoop".

In any event. Trix and I did five of them. Artawhoops, that is. Or R3s.

run 42:00 [3]

Family run through the mud bog. Conditions will be like this for a while. Glad we did it; I was a bit worried about my achilles tendon after tnt, but it loosened up quickly enough.

run 1:01:00 [5]

Really good hilly interval workout with a big posse. Felt good tonight. Maybe it was just because D Bag wasn't there and so we didn't feel so diminished by his showboating.
