Walking (Great Hill) 59:12 [1] 1.62 mi (36:30 / mi) +41m 33:51 / mi

No rain, gray still but I could see shadows. NW windy, windy at the top. Came down a version of the more interesting way.

Walking (Concord, MA) 50:45 [1] 1.83 mi (27:44 / mi) +16m 27:00 / mi

Went with Beth who had an appointment in downtown Concord. From Punkatasset parking off Monument Street - maybe I was there 35 or so years ago as an alternative approach to Estabrook Woods. Some lovely, large sloping fields at the start. It was raining enough to be glad I had an umbrella. Met one woman with two dogs and a busload of kids from somewhere. I really didn't expect to meet anyone there on such a gray, wet drab day.
1 PM

Walking (Minuteman Park) 12:08 [1] 0.38 mi (31:54 / mi) +1m 31:39 / mi

Stopped at Buttrick Mansion/North Bridge at Minuteman SP on the way home. The Concord River was flooding over the fields.

Walking (Nottingcook) 37:25 [1] 0.85 mi (44:01 / mi) +27m 40:04 / mi

Slush/muddy, gray and drizzly - some tracks in the snow and submoron-made muck-yuk.

Walking 39:01 [1] 1.25 mi (31:13 / mi) +1m 31:08 / mi

While Beth was at the doctor's office. Slushy wood trails were not inviting. "Livened" the walk up by passing thru the parking garage etc.

Walking (Rollins) 25:00 [1] 0.5 mi (49:59 / mi)

Much like yesterday.

Walking 21:00 [1] 0.5 mi (41:59 / mi)

At Rollins in the afternoon. No power in our area - no cell charge, no wifi, no light (other than candle/head lamp); heat only by wood stove. The key culprit for our street was in part (or maybe all) a tree that fell not 50' from our drive. We noted quite a few wires down yesterday and two partly smashed cars on residential roads. Among other things, power loss sensitizes one to homeless encampments in cold weather environments. The Concord area has its share.
