Easement Walk 1:39:41 [1] 2.58 mi (38:38 / mi) +37m 36:59 / mi

Walked the western boundary part of the easement, finding/freshening blazes etc. The easement boundary goes right into the impassable swamp. Last monitored this with Ken in 2012. The blazes I found today are in decent shape. Did have to renew a few of them with red paint. Lovely woods - could see hundreds of meters in certain directions. Found one marker pipe - rather stumbled on it, 'highlighted' with a small piece of streamer.

Walking (Rollins) 26:12 [1] 0.82 mi (31:55 / mi)

Wet, gray cold day. Stopped at Rollins on the way to town, spelled 'Willow' backwards for a change.

Walking (Great Hill) 36:46 [1] 1.22 mi (30:09 / mi) +46m 26:59 / mi

With W - a quintessential NW breezy November day with far views. Hurried along to get to a Robert Frost forum in Pembroke having decided to do this a bit late.

Walking 24:16 [1] 0.5 mi (48:31 / mi) +5m 47:03 / mi

With Beth & W, a visit to/thru old haunts (Lincoln, Concord, Carlisle) after a CT scan at MGH/Waltham. Lincoln is quintessential old money with an abundance of fields, woods and gracious (old) homes.
Fwiw, added the second half of the mini-walk - forgot to restart the Garmin after stopping to take in an absorbing hilltop view.
10 AM

Walking (Pierce Park) 30:57 [1] 0.46 mi (1:07:19 / mi)

A park estate given to the town. I'd never been there but a pond beyond a field caught my eye and we were rewarded.
12 PM

Walking 33:21 [1] 0.73 mi (45:41 / mi) +11m 43:38 / mi

Last area walk, Minuteman National Historical Park.
I used to live a stone's throw away. North Bridge/ Revolutionary war history unfolds. Photos - across the field to the North Bridge, an old soldier by the Buttrick house, contemporary abuse of Thoreau's value system.
