Walking 1:47:42 [2] 3.62 mi (29:45 / mi) +45m 28:39 / mi

Kimball Pond. Around on the Loop Tr. Harder than I recalled, esp the north portion with muck and swamps, summer thick veg too. Even the beaver dam seemed harder although the water wasn't high but there's a lot of unsupporting muck on the upstream side. Left the bug repellent in the car but it wasn't too bad.

Willow appeasement, cool enough in shade.

Track 22:02 [3] 1.32 mi (16:42 / mi) +3m 16:35 / mi

BHS track, walk straights, ran curves - actually felt good. I certainly seem to be a slow walker tho it doesn't really seem like it.

Walking 45:03 [1] 1.8 mi (25:02 / mi) +11m 24:34 / mi

Knox TF around 2pm, cool enough in shade. Tree cutting for phone/power protection around parking area is unfortunate and not even clear it was beneficial.

At Bear Brook: start Podunk pkng along the river, to Lane Tr., Hayes Farm Road, and Podunk. No map, no interest in entering the forest as it's too buggy and summer thick and seems I've gotten too old to put up with it. Breezy, fresh after last night's rain. Quite a few new forest mgmt clearings.

Weightexercise workout (PF) 35:00 [1]

PF cardio 10:00 [3]

10 AM

Walking 1:14:19 [1] 2.93 mi (25:22 / mi) +113m 22:39 / mi

School Forest, start from town pond parking which I hadn't done in years. One or two trails were unfamiliar which made it interesting. Strava heat trails were mostly complete with one or two pauses when an omitted path confounded. Precipitously, we met a young mother with baby on her back as well as her 3+ y/o. W often jumps up in her enthusiasm to meet and greet which can be problematic, esp in encounters such as this was.

Walking (+ track) 53:59 intensity: (33:59 @1) + (20:00 @3) 2.55 mi (21:10 / mi) +12m 20:52 / mi

Too tired, too late really. As I was leaving, three turkeys came to practice.
