trail run 1:15:00 [3]

River run.

Not entirely sure why I failed to train earlier this week.

Foot isn't right still. Nice weather today, spring.

Note

I made pancakes for the first time in years. I think they impressed, especially the exploding flambéed one at the end.

I'd claim I was inspired by this, but that's almost dishearteningly amazing.

Note

Third tartiflette of the weekend.

Also, downhill skiing on downhill skis is much, much easier.

Also, Das new, longer Auto, with winter tyres.

French Ski-O Champs
Sprint, A course!

Sunny, nice tracks, and off piste there was a few inches of powder over some crust, not bad!

All good, except I punched something other than my number 5. Big trails to 1 and mostly 2, then somewhat downhill cross-slope to 3 on scooter trail and off-trail, fell repeatedly... which was sort of fun. Then back to pick up my map, dropped along the way, then up to the main piste, skied up until level with 4 and poled across along the contour to the control. Ploughed down the scooter trail to the piste, along it until past my turn off for 5, I'm not sure what was going on with y head there, not with it at all. Went 100m too far, decided there must be a little patch of white on the map I couldn't see, that explained the trees... anyway, that made me find 6 a bit strange... At least at this stage the hors piste and the scooter trails were getting fun. I relaxed my knees a little so they could react independently to the bumps, that seemed to help. No probs from there to the finish, except 9 wasn't quite how I was expecting it.

Surprisingly fun.

Winner did the course in 20.

My classification system is running into problems. I only record running (incl orienteering) as actual time... and then this is orienteering but not normal orienteering, meanwhile ski-o isn't a real sport so it doesn't merit a special category... what to do, what to do.

Went for another spin, since it was so nice out. T-shirt and gloves.

Not sure why the last section was so short, I was expecting a 9km loop.
