Suie Road Race
Short but intense.
Arse kicked
The climbs did for me - the big one up Suie really, but weirdly the vast majority of the race was uphill!
Managed to just hang on enough on the first climb to chase back on but it was hard wwork and some big efforts required. Got dropped off the main bunch on the first time up Suie. Then in a working group on the 2nd lap and ok up the smaller climb. When we hit the big Suie climb again most people rode away. The gradient was mostly too steep, though in a couple of places and approaching the summit when the gradient eased I was able to power up to and pass a few people.
Power up the climbs is not that impressive, but I guess that is fatigue from preceding efforts. Maybe HR is sitting a bit high for the power too?
I think I've a fair bit of tiredness, which is ok on steady training efforts at the level we've been doing but the intense efforts of racing maybe show it up.
