Rough approximation of the workouts we used to do with Eric, but doing it together. Taking it a it easy after more than two weeks away from it. There’s a bit of a traffic jam around the Smith machine, what with us doing different exercises, but we worked it out. Anyway, glad B to get back to doing some back squats.

With Rhonda off to Litchfield for something different. Litchfield Land Trust trails between Prospect Mtn Road and Cathole Road, going up over the summit of Prospect Mtn and by an eponymous grove of gnarly old sugar maples. Some steep sections, quite a bit of rock, some wet sections, but overall a pleasant experience. On a nice fall afternoon we weren't the only ones there. I counted 9 adults, 3 kids and 6 dogs. 1 of the adults and 2 of the kids twice, as they were doing the loop between Cathole and the summit in the opposite direction of us. AOWN - a flock of 6 to 8 turkeys in the woods between the summit and the grove, and a tick on the back of my neck when I was driving home. On the drive home, went past Stony Brook GC, a place I haven't been in quite a few years.

After a pleasant visit with George and Lyn. So nice to see them. Anyway, I had been thinking I wanted to run at McLean, and somehow my legs were feeling unaccountably lively, perhaps after all the kayaking and not much in the way of walking. It was, of course, an illusion, and I quickly settled down to the usual shuffle. But very nice to be out.
