Putting out controls at Wadmore Park for the relays. Just walked to these, but later jogged to another control with Simon and Steve to check its position. This was the first time I have run in 11 weeks! My arm didnt feel too bad, but I didnt swing it very much.

Rock Oyster Badge Event 5.7km course

Did M21AS because 12km walking is a bit long (and Tyson wants to win OY). Good course, no navigational problems, only lost about 10 secs when I dropped into a creek a bit too early. Almost had a re-broken arm when I overbalanced forward going down a hill and my bad arm went forward, but i caught myself and stayed upright. Fell on my bum later in the course going down a hill, but that was fine.

Taping control sites at Wadmore park with Luke. I did the northern half and Luke the south. Had to move a couple of sites, as they weren't suitable. I found the pit in the mid green easier than expected, and also found a new termite mound nearby which i added to the map.

There is a minor problem with the start location, the creek just behind the oval (5th creek) is flowing quite strongly and is not easy to cross. Every person has to cross on the way to the first control and then to the spectator and most just after too. There are stepping stones where the track crosses, but this is not the best route choice for some courses and at the mass start it will be a bit crazy. Oh well, we have had worse!

So i got more x-rays today and they are not very encouraging. There is new bone growing, but not very much and there are still lots of pieces in there. The doc said i have to keep this stupid brace on for another 5 weeks, then get more x-rays and see him again. I am not allowed to run and still cant work (I might start looking for a new job).

I dont know if i'll go to Oceania, i'll only have 4 weeks of running before then and it wont be a cheap trip. I may get asked to help drive a bus for the schools team, but who knows (they have decided to take a 12 seater and a car, so that they dont have to get a bus license, but this also means 4 drivers!)
