Note
I don't know whether to laugh or cry...
I'm reporting in my courses as part of my Licentiate degree. To get a Licentiate you need 45 points. Half of the points need to be PhD level courses - i.e. 22.5 points. The other points can be made up by, for example, Master's level courses. Now this is where it gets beautiful... by some god-decree EXACTLY half of the points have to be PhD level courses. So if you have studied more than 45 points, exactly half have to be PhD level courses! Of course, they are a little nice - you don't have to report in all courses that you've taken...
So, I have about 65 points from various courses with 25.5 from PhD level courses. I want to save 3 points from one course for my PhD, so would like to report 22.5 points + the rest to fulfil the requirements. Unfortunately the closest to 45 I can get with my combination of points is 47.5 points. This means, according to the god-decree that I need more than 23.75 points at PhD level!!! Oh... and I'm not allowed to report my 10 point course as a 7.5 point course in order to meet these ridiculous requirements. Some people at KTH seriously deserve to be pointed at and laughed at. Now if only I had the time to go and find them...
