6 JOURS DE L'AVEYRON 2008, France.
H21A class. 6th leg.

Couldn't finish competition in high level - another disasterous day right after the start. 8 mins failure to 2nd CP, then another 15 mins to 3rd CP. No any good later on eather - only couple spiked CPs.
97th place is good reflection of the performance.

Whatever happend I was very satisfied with this competition. It was so incredible to find so much different terrain I've ever been to in 18 years of my orienteering experience.

6 JOURS DE L'AVEYRON 2008, France.
H21A class. 5th leg.

Very good self-feeling after rest day.
Managed to do very good performance. One big error (~6 min), couple small ones.
46th place is very ok after 2 days of disaster.

6 JOURS DE L'AVEYRON 2008, France.
H21A class. 4th leg.

Another day of wandering in this rocky-bushy labyrinth. Simply didn't know what to do to find these controls. Biggest "error" was worth 15 mins today.
Also very heavy legs after first two days efforts.
Almost hit the very bottom in the table of results - 107th place of 127 starters.

6 JOURS DE L'AVEYRON 2008, France.
H21A class. 3rd leg.

Today it was good evidence that yesterday I was very very lucky in many occasions: 3rd leg course was in very similar looking terrain but today simply couldn't understand and find anything. Difficult even to count number of failures, the bigest coming in prelast CP - 20 mins lost there alone...
Only 93rd place.

6 JOURS DE L'AVEYRON 2008, France.
H21A class. 2nd leg.

Very good 6-days orienteering competition. Technically probably the most difficult terrain I've ever run. Many small objects: bushes, rocks, stones, little grasslands. Almost no paths, buildings, strong relief or other expressive objects. Scale 7500 (legs 2-4) and even 5000 (legs 5-6) didn't look too small for quite long courses. Some controls looking to the map looked like impossible to find.

Missed 1st leg so knew that I will not have overall result.
My start of competition in 2nd leg was just fantastic. Somehow managed to find these "impossible-to-find" controls one after another almost perfectly and half through the race was in 11th place out of almost 150 starters. But in the final parts of the course two failures (controls 20 and 25), worth 4 mins each, and took 39th place overall. Still very impressive.
