Run 30:00 [3]
Today I was running around Lake Highlands North Park with a frown, wondering why my legs felt heavy and thinking about boulders, route choices and climb. Ahead was a toddler soccer practice that Lisa refers to as magnet ball because they all run around in a little swarm about the ball. As I ran by the soccer field one little girl spotted me and broke out laughing. I assume this was because I was without a shirt; it sometimes happens that I hear small kids say something to the effect of "Mommy, that man's naked!" But my streaking days are well behind me and I always have at least shoes, socks and shorts. So, as the little girl is laughing I point at her and give a big hardy laugh back at her. This catches the attention of more little girls who start laughing. So I point at them and give them a big "HA! HA! HA! HA!" By now the parents have started to clue in, some smiling, some chuckling, and some probably wondering why that man is running naked in front of their children. After another round of "HA! HA! HA!" I ran away and could still here all of the little kids breaking out in laughter.
Kind of puts things in perspective. No more frowning.
