Event: SVO Stumble

Note

No real training - leisurely hanging a few WY controls on trails doesn't really amount to anything - but I was on my feet most of the day. And I stress about everything when I'm a course setter or event director so that takes it toll.

We had a poor turnout - competing against the NE Champs and The Stockville and it was just really far for people in QOC land. But it seems that the people that did come had a good time even though a lot of people really struggled in the Hickory Run terrain. I just think it would have been much more fun for everyone if there had been a bigger crowd. Oh well, so it goes.

Hanging controls for the Stumble. Lots of short little loops and my watch was taking too long to lock in GPS so I stopped trying.

Note

Got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot on Thursday and my arms were sore enough that I used that as an excuse not to do my planned weight workout. Mostly I was just feeling like I needed another day of rest though.

Funky track, no idea why.
In the 40's this morning but in the 60's by the time I got out.

Kelly workout from this spring. Not sure why it was so short - I wasn't going particularly fast. Perhaps it's because my legs felt very springy what with all the rest they've had the last several days and I actually jogged up and down the step at the beginning instead of my usual plodding. It would explain the high heart rate at the beginning as well.
